Musculoskeletal Injury Course 9-11-04

On September 11, 2004, University Sports Medicine presented its first annual fall sports medicine course, "Sports & Musculoskeletal Injury for Physicians, Physical Therapists & Athletic Trainers," chaired by William M. Wind, Jr., M.D., Director of the Western New York Cartilage Restoration Center.

The morning session consisted of 12 presentations given by University Sports Medicine physicians and staff, highlighted with a presentation given by Irving Raphael, M.D., the Director of Sports Medicine and Team Physician for Syracuse University.

The afternoon workshop session provided a hands-on clinical experience for the participants, with the opportunity to evaluate live patients. At the conclusion of the course, participants attended a tailgate party at the University at Buffalo Bulls football home opener against the Syracuse University Orangemen at UB Stadium.
